I finally got a full length and decent idea of what the Tudor court gown will look like. I've also decided that this will be an on-going project that I will devote time to as I see fit and as it interests me. This is partly because I want to go to June Crown as a Viking and have yet to create Viking clothing. Slightly problematic. So the sketch is up and the bodice is nearly all trimmed out (in reality that is). I've only got to add the upper sleeves and then start on the skirt. To contrast with the red and gold, I'm thinking of doing black velvet or very dark blue. I want to quilt it with gold thread and do something different, inspired by the Jane Seymour portrait.

Also, I'm taking the embroidery with me to the movie for class tonight and planning to work on that as I watch.

There will be more concept art later for the Elizabethan plans, Viking garb, and some other odds and ends. I'm also going to have to recover my Elizabethan bodies as they do not fit. This will require recutting everything and actually melting the tips this time. It should be fine though, I'm not doing front lacing again and will just have to deal with that.
